Light Painting
I have seen this done well and done poorly, but I wanted to try it out. After trying it I added a few more in the “poor” category. But it was still a fun side trip from my usual strobes.
Side note, may want to wear your ninja outfit so your Casper legs don’t show up in some of the shots.
Nice! B ward did a nice job on the header of his site (http://www.braindraw.com/2010/01/process-light-painted-header.html) but I’ve never seen anyone retain so much of the environment in the shot. Really interesting.
A cool experiment would be to do the opposite – make the background perfectly black so that you can use individual light streaks as texture in another project. I have tons of these hanging around, I’d love some made with light!
